Electric Design for a Historic Building

Electric Design for a Historic Building

Cornell University | Ithaca, NY

Challenge:

When this historic university began experiencing ice dams on many of their campus buildings, they knew the safety of their students was at risk. They required a secure design with concealed cables to maintain the historic roofing system.

Solution:

Over 8,000’ of RIM system panels were installed at nine individual campus buildings. This hidden cable system maintained the historic preservation of the roofing system, while reducing ice dams and heavy snow build up.
